In 2022, I spent the summer teaching children aged 6-17 film photography at Camp Ballibay in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania. During the Covid pandemic, Ballibay made the decision to open the camp with a strict quarantine, where no children or staff were allowed to leave the camp for their entire stay. Feeling the effects of the quarantine, I found a loophole to the rule. I was permitted to drive outside of the campgrounds, as long as I didn't get out of the car. Every week on my day off, I would drive all around the hills of Pennsylvania and New York and take photographs from my car windows, sometimes driving for over 8 hours. This series highlights some of the overlooked beauties I encountered on my drives.
